I use Gloucester BMW Specialists off the Eastern Avenue, small outfit but I've found them to be very knowledgeable and carry out high quality work at good prices. Resolved an issue I had with the SES light immediately, whereas Cotswold just kept suggesting possible causes instead of fixing it - ended up being the O2 sensors !!!

Telephone: 01452 300150 Address: 12 Eastville Clo/Eastern Av, Gloucester, GL4 3SJ

Also they do have a couple of courtesy cars if you book in advance.

There's also

Never used him but heard he's ok

I use Glos BMW and find they are very good
The curtosy car is a Nova but it is new, and they valet car etc.

I'd stay well away from Cotswold - told me my Aircon was faulty (it wasn't) and that they couldn't properly diagnose the "fault" until I'd had a £100 regas (untrue as an independent correctly diagnosed a stuck water valve (£70) and nothing to do with the A/C which was working perfectly).

Glos BMW were about £40/hour + VAT last time I went there - for last insp 1 - also got them to drain + refil my gearbox and diff as my 323i has got starship mileage (160K) and they used correct BMW oils etc for this. Been 4 or 5 times to Glos BMW now and always been v. satisfied with work & prices.

I've used Steve Rowley in Cheltenham twice now and been very satisfied, they did an Insp2 service earlier this year plus replaced a rear spring (common prob on 330d Sport Touring apparently) then last month they took it in and arranged to have a new auto gearbox fitted (actually it was sent off to some place in Bristol for a rebuild) and they kept me informed all along the way....pity it cost me £2526 though!

Peter - I think the OP has long gone

annoying when you go to the trouble of recommending, posting links, trying to steer the OP towards someone who won't rip them off........

and they don't even bother to acknowledge/thank
