Guys just got back from the Le Mans trip and as before it was a truly awesome experience, will post loads of pics and other vids I took later in a new post.
As for this post well what can I say other than I have never witnessed speed like this on a road ever before, we were heading back towards Zeebruge when we came across a pair of normal looking VW Golf R32's in black. As I came up to the one in front of me he boots it and away we go for some fun, not a lot in it but I felt the Z had the edge, the second one came up behind me and I moved over to let him go, as he passed me it absolutly took off with a pop and a fart, it was obvious from the noise that this was turbo charged. What then followed was amazingwe had a couple of goes against each other and the way this car was pulling away from me was gob smacking, even as I came up on him with a head of steam at 120, 130 he just accelerated away like I was stood still, at one point I was reading 160 on the clock and the gap was still increasing. Had a quick shout to him when we were side by side he claimed Twin Turbo and 550BHP !!!!!
It's all on the video below, you will have to excuse the choice language but in my excitment I do get a bit carried away.. And it's not best quality as it was done on a digital camera...enjoy.

Wow that's some serious speed.
A guy I work with has an R32, the new one (Mk V?). We go to the pub in it for lunch from time to time and it's one seriously quick car. Makes a lovely noise too. It would destroy my 330Ci were we next to each other on a German autobahn.
Sticking twin turbos in is mind-boggling sillinness. |

Yeah I know, just been looking at the R32 twin Turbo conversions, there's plenty of footage on 'you tube' too, It appears to back up the claims of that guy saying it was 550BHP, theres footage of one spanking a Ferrari 430 spider down a drag strip, and one tuner claims 0-60 in 3.6 secs 0-100 in 9.9 secs....... |

ROTFL........
Sorry
Watched some of it on Sky, bit wet there this year by the looks of it!
Been many years ago, camped in the infield and spent a lot of the time walking round the circuit, Mulsanne was something else to be right up close to the track just behind the armco............night life was entertaining too, at least back then |

Tut ..Tut..plowy, another case of a boy trying to do a mans job !!!!
Seriously though, much respect for the post and your attempts to keep up, he has got some serious horse power under that bonnet. I would have loved to have been there, (I bet with the top down), it certainly felt you were going a lot quicker.
Would have liked to see him against a M5 or M6, but even then I think there would have been a gap opening up.... T |

Great show Plowy!
Loving the commentary mate. Love the stealthy nature of the R32. When breathed upon they're lethal.
As you said mate, tons of vids on youtube and just saw the drag race with the Fezza today - my guess is the Fezza's launch control malfunctioned!
Nice one. |

I love your closing line "Gotta have a F**kin SC on this ,I'm not havin' that!"......... Cracked me up!!
But yeh that R32 is seriously quick. But is that a stock exhaust on your Z4 plowy?...... sounded very nice. |
