Hi,
Has anyone used the Bluefin Remap on the 530d?
I have a bran new Dec 2009 530d car with only 1700 kms on the odo.Is it too early to remap?
I live in India & the Bluefin Remap appears very attractive as I can do it at home myself as we have nobody who can remap it here.
Are there any chances for the fault codes to come up?
Cheers.

Using the bluefin device will leave fault codes in various control units around the car that you cannot clear out. These fault codes are visable to the dealer/mechanics who will instantly know your car has been remapped.

You could take the car to an independent garage who has the correct equipment to clear the codes out before taking the car into BMW.
