Re: BMW 740i Miss Fire Help
Misfire could be anything from a coil pack to a faulty sensor - best to get the codes read for a proper diagnosis. For a coil pack try Euro car parts (there are codes for 25% off available online) or alternaively BMW Costwold the trade sponsor who can do a good discount for members.

Re: BMW 740i Miss Fire Help
Well when unplugging the coils, it dont really make much different, i dont really know anyone with a diag machine that will fit? Took one plug out, it had a lil oil on it, but when you take plug cover off on the and theres a noise there like slight knocking/arcing noise, but once that plastic bits on you cant hear it....
arrhhh what to do! I dont want to end up breaking it!

The best way to read your faults and errors is your local BMW DEALER, they won't charge more than 50 pounds, but will give you a full description and meaning of these faults. Sometimes you have faults about coils and lambda sensors because of vacuum leak in inlet etc...

Different Engine Controls has a different code meaning: SEE HERE !!!
"P" codes not always are appropriate to real BMW meaning.

Re: BMW 740i Miss Fire Help
